An old tale in Japan says that it will snow 10 days after you see yukimushi (snowbugs). I saw them for the first time about a week ago so if the story is true, it should snow in a few days from now. They actually look like little snowflakes with their fluffy white bodies and they were swarming around everywhere as I was riding my bike to work. In novelty factor, they kind of remind me of the fireflies that I saw when I lived in the US a long time ago.

I wonder if they’re only found in Hokkaido or if they’re all over Japan?
